I'm not sure if it is gold we should buy. I think we just need to have a realistic budget. If we can't pay for something, we should not implement it. Every American must do this on a daily basis in order to keep from getting into financial trouble, why is the government any different? We need to hold them responsible and vote them out of office if they can't keep to this standard.
Excellent point, wanlessboy. Come November 2010, we must cast Party affiliation aside & protect the best interests of our children's futures. The path to prosperity can Not be carved via Spending. Passing pork-barreled, so-called "Stimulus Packages" are only serving as Welfare/Entitlement programs to keep our populace Lazy & Disengaged. Regardless WHO votes to Continue these "keep America divided via class-warfare games" (Increasing ANY Taxes.. or Refusing to Properly Balance the Budget [Pass ONLY what can be Paid for, not put on the American Citizens' CHARGE CARD]...) they must be Recalled & Replaced with Another Representative; one who will do what we've Elected him/her to do. No More should we Tolerate 'Promises or Pandering' - Place TERM LIMITS on our Reps so we KNOW they're there to do OUR Business, Not engage in self-indulgent, reckless behavior with OUR money. It's time we re-claim our Republic. This is Not a "Government OF the People..."; it's BECOME a Joke - and We've Allowed it to Become that way due to our Own Uninvolvement & Complacency. It's High Time we tossed our Ideologies Aside & thought about our History, Heritage, Traditions & FUTURES.

Thank God for the Republicans who are poised to reclaim the reigns of power. These are the Real Americans that our Founding Fathers envisioned when they laid the groundwork for this wonderful nation. More so than many of today's so-called "leading thinkers," they understood the basic truth of politics and freely elected leadership.
It's not a question of IF you're gonna get screwed; it's a matter of HOW you're gonna get screwed.
So be careful what you wish for. John Boehner and Co. want to "share the love"....
